Don't get your hopes up

I am a terrible blogger and there truly is no excuse for it.  One of my many failed New Year's resolutions was to update my blog at least once a month and it is already the end of February so I guess that one is a bust! We haven't had too much to blog about really, but I will do my best to make this a substantial post (in case I don't get around to it again in the near future, which is very likely).

The biggest (and saddest) news from us is that our kitten Bruno, seen in the video below, died in September.  He started acting really sick and by the time we got him to the vet, it was too late.  They did an x-ray of his abdomen and found that he had ingested something.  Unfortunately, he crashed on the table while he was in surgery to remove the magnet he had swallowed.  We were very sad that he couldn't be with us very long and we still miss him.  However, we did get a new kitten, Phoebe, that keeps everyone at home on their toes.  She is a great new addition to our family and we love her.  After this experience, I have decided that I will never purchase an animal from a pet store when there are so many animals in our local shelters who need homes.

On a MUCH brighter note, I have exactly 67 days until graduation!!!  I can't wait to finally be able to practice as a pharmacist and help people understand the importance of their medications and living a healthy life.

Gavin has taken the semester off and will be starting school up full time once I have a full time job, whether he wants to or not ; )

In between work and rotations, we have been able to spend time with some of our friends, although not nearly enough.  Hopefully that will change in the near future!

Thanks for taking the time to read this post, even though there isn't much to brag about.  I will try to be motivated and put some pictures up here soon.
