I am a terrible blogger and there truly is no excuse for it. One of my many failed New Year's resolutions was to update my blog at least once a month and it is already the end of February so I guess that one is a bust! We haven't had too much to blog about really, but I will do my best to make this a substantial post (in case I don't get around to it again in the near future, which is very likely).
The biggest (and saddest) news from us is that our kitten Bruno, seen in the video below, died in September. He started acting really sick and by the time we got him to the vet, it was too late. They did an x-ray of his abdomen and found that he had ingested something. Unfortunately, he crashed on the table while he was in surgery to remove the magnet he had swallowed. We were very sad that he couldn't be with us very long and we still miss him. However, we did get a new kitten, Phoebe, that keeps everyone at home on their toes. She is a great new addition to our family and we love her. After this experience, I have decided that I will never purchase an animal from a pet store when there are so many animals in our local shelters who need homes.
On a MUCH brighter note, I have exactly 67 days until graduation!!! I can't wait to finally be able to practice as a pharmacist and help people understand the importance of their medications and living a healthy life.
Gavin has taken the semester off and will be starting school up full time once I have a full time job, whether he wants to or not ; )
In between work and rotations, we have been able to spend time with some of our friends, although not nearly enough. Hopefully that will change in the near future!
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, even though there isn't much to brag about. I will try to be motivated and put some pictures up here soon.

Crazy Critters
Sadie and Bruno are really good at keeping us entertained. Here are two videos of their recent activities.

A Little Update
We started our summer with the Bruno Mars concert. |
He was great!!! We can't wait for him to come back! |
Caitlin and some of her friends did the chalk art festival at The Gateway. There was some really great stuff there. Good job Cait! |
Tippy, age 17, went to the Kitty Condo in the sky in June. She lived a good long life filled with many extreme adventures. Tippy will be missed, but never forgotten. |
Another tragedy in the family. Dax, age 8, met his demise when a lady pulled out in front of Gavin. The other car rolled over, but luckily no one was hurt. So for now we are a one car family, looking for an addition. Mallory's mom has been a good sport for letting Gavin borrow her car in the meantime. |
He loves to ride in the car. Although he does not get to do it very often. |
Sadie is already teaching her little brother what he needs to know about life. They are getting along great. |
In July we went with a couple of our friends, Julie and Jesse, to the cabin and to JellyStone, I mean Yellowstone National Park. It was a blast!

My Sister's Blog
Surprise! I have updated my blog for 2 months in a row. Still no pictures of my own (I will work on that when I actually have time), but I thought that I would post a link to my little sister's blog instead. She just turned 15 and is very talented. Here's the link: http://caitybugphotography.blogspot.com/
I hope you enjoy it!
